Description

91 OOO 74051 CIVILIZEMART 1776 is a polymer-based "admixture" (or additive) — not a grout on its own. It is meant to be mixed with cement-based grout powder (sanded or unsanded) instead of plain water. Compatible grouts: you can use it with unsanded grout (for narrow joints, e.g. ~1-3 mm) or sanded grout (for wider joints ~3-12 mm). It improves and upgrades a regular cement grout — giving you a grout joint closer to "premium" performance, but without going full-epoxy. Key Features & Benefits (when mixed properly) When used per instructions, 1776 offers: Better durability, flexibility & strength — makes grout joints tougher against shock, stress, and movement, reducing risk of cracking or powdering over time. Improved water resistance and lower water absorption — makes grout more suitable for wet zones like bathrooms, kitchens, wet-areas, even exterior exposure. Enhanced colour stability and resistance to staining/discolouration — grout joints stay more uniform in colour and resist blotchy fade over time. Anti-microbial / anti-mould benefit — the product incorporates technology to inhibit growth of stain-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew on grout joints. Suitable for interior & exterior use, wide tile/stone types — ceramic, vitrified tiles, marble, natural stone, glass mosaic, engineered stone, precast terrazzo tiles, bricks, etc. Non-shrinking & non-cracking joint properties compared with plain cement grout, with better overall mechanical & chemical resistance vs plain cement grout. Where & When to Use It Consider using 1776 Admix when: You're using regular cement-based grout (sanded or unsanded) but want better performance — e.g. for bathrooms, kitchens, balconies, terraces, poolsides, exterior walls/facades (wet or outdoor zones). Tile/stone joints are either narrow (1–3 mm) — use with unsanded grout — or wider (3–12 mm) — use with sanded grout. You want a cost-effective upgrade vs basic cement grout — better durability, stain/water resistance, cleaner maintenance — without the full cost or complexity of epoxy-based grout. You care about long-term appearance and hygiene — e.g. kitchens, washrooms, commercial spaces, areas exposed to moisture or heavy foot traffic. ⚠️ Points to Keep in Mind / Limitations 1776 is not a grout on its own — you must mix it with cement-based grout powder per correct ratio (e.g. for 600-series unsanded grout, ~3.75 L 1776 per 10 kg grout; for 500/ sanded grout: ~1.75 L per 10 kg grout) If you need highest-level stain-proofing / chemical / waterproofing (e.g. for industrial, heavy-duty or very wet environments), an epoxy grout may still perform better (though 1776-modified grout is still much better than plain cement grout). Quality depends on proper mixing & application — poor mix ratio or sloppy joint filling may degrade performance (as with any grout system).
