91 000 74051 Preserva is a nano-technology impregnating sealer + enhancer designed for natural stone, tiles and textured/porous surfaces.
It's not a grout — it's a surface treatment that penetrates into the stone/tile, rather than sitting on top, to provide long-term protection and aesthetic enhancement. It's typically available in liquid form (pack sizes such as 1 L, 5 L, 20 L) to be applied via cloth, brush, roller etc.
Key Features & Benefits of Preserva
When applied correctly, Preserva offers:
Water & oil / stain resistance — treated surfaces repel water, oil, staining agents, helping protect stone/tile from spills and dirt.
Enhanced appearance (natural colour enhancement / wet-look) — it can "revive" dull-looking stone or tile, enriching its colour and making it look more vibrant or "wet". Harder, less slippery surface — after treatment, texture tends to become more resistant and safer (less slippery), especially helpful for outdoor or wet-area use.
Weather / UV resistance & durability — suitable for both indoor and outdoor use; helps protect against environmental wear, moisture, and general wear & tear.
Breathable & non-film forming — because it impregnates rather than coats, the surface remains "breathable" (vapour can escape), avoiding issues like peeling or surface film.
Where & When to Use Preserva
Preserva is especially useful when:
You have natural or textured stone (granite, limestone, marble, slate, etc.) or porous tiles / textured surfaces — places where water/stain absorption is a risk.
You want to improve appearance — e.g. giving a "wet look" to dull stone or making patterns/colours richer.
Surfaces are exterior, exposed to weather/UV, or in wet zones (balcony, patio, bathroom, kitchen, outdoor pavements) and need protection against water, dust, stains, weathering.
You want low-maintenance, long-lasting protection — especially if you prefer surfaces that are easier to clean and more resistant to staining over time.
You are finishing an installation of stone/tile and want to seal and protect on completion (or periodically maintain and refresh protection).
⚠️ What Preserva Does Not / Should Not Do
It is not a substitute for grout or epoxy grouting — it doesn't fill joints or seal gaps between tiles/stones. Use grout or epoxy for that.
It will not prevent acid-etching or mechanical wear on the surface — if you scrub hard, use harsh acids or abrasive cleaners, surface finish can still degrade over time.
For extremely high-traffic or heavy industrial floors (exposed to chemicals/heavy wear), it might need re-application over time for continued performance — sealers degrade under heavy use/harsh conditions. On very smooth or non-porous tiles/stones, the benefit will be minimal (since there isn't much porosity to "penetrate").
