91 000 74051 Aqua Marine VT Plus is a cement-based, polymer-modified tile adhesive, under the "TileFixo" range of UltraTech. It is intended primarily for vitrified tiles, natural stones, and glass-mosaic tiles. It meets the standards Type 2T (as per IS 15477:2019) and C2TE (as per EN 12004 / ISO 13007-1) for thin-bed tile adhesives. �� What It's Used For For floor and wall tiling — indoors and outdoors — when using vitrified tiles, natural stones or mosaic tiles. Suitable for interior and exterior applications — including wet areas and outdoor floors — making it more versatile than adhesives meant only for dry indoor use. Supports tile-on-tile applications (i.e. laying new tile over existing tile, if base substrate is cement-based) under suitable conditions. �� Key Features & Benefits Self-curing and single-component — easy to mix with just water. Excellent adhesion to cement-based substrates (concrete, plaster, screed, etc.), helping ensure a firm bond and reducing chances of hollow spots under tiles. High slip resistance — beneficial especially for wall tiling or vertical surfaces, preventing tiles from sliding before adhesive sets. No need to pre-soak tiles — simplifies and speeds up the tile-laying process. Extended open time — gives more working time to adjust/level tiles before adhesive sets, which helps proper alignment and finish. Durable and water-resistant — suitable for wet zones, exterior floors/walls, and exposures to dampness — unlike many adhesives meant only for dry indoor areas ✅ Ideal Situations / Areas Outdoor floors or areas exposed to weather / dampness (terraces, balconies, external walkways). Interiors with wet zones — bathrooms, kitchens, utility areas, where water exposure or moisture is expected. Floors or walls using vitrified tiles, natural stones, glass-mosaic or similar high-quality tiles. Tile-on-tile applications (re-tiling over existing tiles), if substrate is prepared and cement-based. ��️ Application & Mixing Instructions Substrate should be clean, cement-based (concrete, screed, plaster etc.) — free from dust, oil, bond-inhibitors, laitance, etc. Mix with 24–27 % potable water (by weight) to get a lump-free, consistent paste. Use a mechanical stirrer, mix 2–3 minutes, let stand ~2 min, then remix before use. Do not add extra water beyond recommended ratio — that reduces adhesion strength drastically. Apply a thin-bed method (not thick mortar bedding) — ideal for modern tile installations on both floors and walls. ⚠️ What to Keep in Mind / Limitations As with all thin-bed adhesives — substrate must be properly prepared and level; uneven surfaces may require leveling or repair before adhesion. While suitable for exterior/wet-area use, ensure proper drainage and waterproofing if used in extremely damp or submerged conditions. Always adhere to mixing instructions — excessive water will weaken the bond and can lead to debonding / tile loosening.
